Fostering a more equitable community

Advocacy + Policy Reform

To address the underlying causes of the affordable housing crisis, we actively advocate for policy reforms that support the creation and preservation of affordable housing. Key policy reforms such as streamlining regulations, providing financial incentives, and promoting mixed-income developments can significantly increase the availability of affordable housing in our county. By partnering with local government officials, community organizations, and stakeholders, we work to shape policies that prioritize affordable housing and foster sustainable communities.

Addressing the Affordable Housing Crisis

Palm Beach County is currently facing an alarming affordable housing crisis. Based on the gap analysis, housing construction activity has not kept pace with the County’s population growth resulting in an average annual supply gap of 2,732 housing units during the last ten years.” (FIU Housing Needs Assessment, Feb 2021). This shortage has resulted in increased homelessness and housing instability among individuals and families in our community.

Developing Affordable Housing Solutions

At Partners for Housing Palm Beach County, we are dedicated to developing tangible solutions to combat the housing crisis. As nonprofit housing developers, we work to create affordable housing options that cater to the diverse needs and income levels of our community. By leveraging our expertise and resources, we have successfully developed and preserved a significant number of affordable housing units throughout the county.

Collaboration for Lasting Impact

We firmly believe that collaboration is crucial to making a lasting impact on the affordable housing landscape. By forging partnerships with financial institutions, community organizations, and other stakeholders, we maximize our collective efforts. Through these collaborations, we can secure the necessary funding, resources, and expertise to develop affordable housing projects that meet the growing needs of our community.

Education + Awareness

Raising public awareness about the affordable housing crisis is paramount to driving positive change. Numerous studies have shown that affordable housing not only improves living conditions but also reduces poverty, enhances health outcomes, and strengthens local economies. We are committed to educating the public about the benefits of affordable housing and the urgent need to address housing insecurity in Palm Beach County. Through workshops, outreach programs, and public campaigns, we aim to foster empathy, understanding, and action to create a more inclusive and equitable community.
